Coffee With Networking for Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning
Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning Event to auction off lots from original works of art to lunch with IT/telecoms journalists. Great fun for a great cause.
September 13, 2004 -- Reading based Zed PR, a public relations consultancy specialising in IT and telecoms, is supporting Macmillan Cancer Relief as part of their Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 24 September, 2004, by tying the coffee morning to a networking event for anyone in the IT and telecoms industry.
Technology freelancer Guy Clapperton will preside over an auction: lots include a Butler Group Convergence Report worth almost 800; lunch at One Aldwych with Alan Cane of the FT and Tom Standage of The Economist; original works of art and signed books; and more.
So that all attendees feel good, a quiet space has been created offering relaxation treatments including head massages and reflexology, and a witty work-life balance speaker will set the scene. And if high energy is their preference, they can try their hand at circus skills with circus entertainer Johnny Slapp.
Its amazing what a cup of coffee can do to help people living with cancer. Money raised by large and small coffee mornings all over the country helps to fund vital information and counselling centres, specialist Macmillan medical staff, buildings for cancer treatment and care, as well as providing grants for people with cancer who are in financial difficulty.
The Zed PR coffee morning is taking place on Friday 24 September at The Reading Moat House from 09.30 to 11.30. The money donated will help Macmillan support people with cancer in this community. Attendees should register their interest in advance.
